PRAKASH began its journey as a local Sweet and Namkeen shop in Roorkee, near Haridwar known as the land of God. In the early 1960s, Shri Ram Prakash Batra embarked on the path to create a new identity for himself and Roorkee, giving birth to the brand PRAKASH His vision was to bring authentic Indian taste to every consumer, reflecting India’s culture and values.
In the early 1990s, Shri Pradeep Batra joined the family business and introduced innovative methods in the preparation of Sweets and Namkeens. Through his consistent hard work and innovative mindset, Shri Pradeep Batra showcased how technology could bring transformation to the field of food preparation. Over the years, PRAKASH has successfully captured the hearts of people throughout the region, captivating them with its exquisite taste and traditional snacking options.
Through the power of word-of-mouth, PRAKASH gained recognition as a renowned brand for Sweets and Traditional Namkeens.
In 2006, PRAKASH expanded its reach by selling Namkeens at the wholesale level throughout the North India region
Due to its proximity to Haridwar, PRAKASH’s delicious offerings, it also attracted tourists establishing itself as a premier destination for Sweets and Ethnic Snacks. In response to growing demand from customers in nearby regions and tourists from across India, PRAKASH established a fully automated Namkeen manufacturing facility in 2019 in Roorkee, Haridwar.
Since then, PRAKASH has gained recognition as a well-known brand in North India and has been expanding its distribution network across India and overseas.
